Well I’m happy to say the road has ironed us out nicely and here we sit in beautiful balmy Darwin and all original members of the road trip are still present and accounted for… no easy feat especially after sighting the many big lizards of Kakadu!
Has been loads of very memorable and strange gigs along the way Longreach, Winton, Barkleys Homestead, Daley Waters Pub, just to name a few and meeting some absolute legendary Australian characters that should have full length movies made about them.
I’ve a slight detour with sneaking down to the MIGHTY GYMPIE MUSTER for it’s 30th birthday (see gig list for times and stages) then in October I will be finishing the trip at the ICONIC MILDURA INDEPENDENT COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL, where I will be attempting to defend my title as a finalist in the ‘Best Male Vocal’ and also shooting for a new title with ‘Best Single’ from the song ‘Midnight Train’ (feat. on Prodigal Son). Honored & humbled to be up there in the top 4 and regardless of outcome!!! Congrats to all the finalists …and see you at the bar, for Mildura really is a FANTASTIC relaxed festival chock a block filled with awesome people and we’ve all won just being part of it!!
Got plenty more miles to go and although I’m quite slack at this website thing …I will attempt to keep ya posted!
My absolute best to you and yours!
